🈲 The primary purpose of establishing this company in the city of London in 1600 was to establish close business relations with China and various countries in Southeast Asia
( Specially with India, Indonesia, Sumatra, Java, etc.).
However, their expansion of the business empire was not so straightforward & easy. Because at that time the sea route to India was very dangerous and one of the worst. It took more than a year to come from Europe to India. Accidents caused by tropical cyclones near Uttarmasha Antrip ( Cape of Good hope ) were a common occurrence. On top of this, the worst raids of the Spanish-Portuguese pirates were going on.

Now that building Located near Sadar Bazar, opposite the Ramakrishna Vivekand Mission, it is famous by the name of "Old kothi"
According to history, this bungalow was built on the banks of the Ganga river in the seventeenth century for a high-ranking company official named McEnroes Stevens. After he left, Robert Clive of Plassy himself remained in this palace for some time. When he moved to Calcutta, its importance began to decline. It is slowly disappearing from the public eye.

I realize everything is temporary in this vast world.… . It is an eternal fact of life that someone will leave and someone new will come in their place.

Before companies came to India, the business centers of the country were always located in the riverine regions away from the sea coast. Indian civilization was dependent on riverine agriculture. Revenue from cultivated land was the sole driving force of the empire. This is the reason why all the big cities or capital cities of ancient India were built on the banks of rivers.

This was the first time Indians were introduced to fortified cities whose economy was run entirely not on cultivated land, but on the profits of trade. 🈲 The bold British realized that to grow up in a large and prosperous country like India it was necessary to stay away from the immediate area of the government ( King ) and create a safe space for themselves. In the place in font of me is ruined building,
Perhaps at some point it was a busy and magnificient commercial center.
Now many people are walking along side but no one feels the need to look around to that building.
I feel, a Multi-Storied housing Or a shiny shopping mall may be built in replacement of this house in a time. The darkness will be cut through and the surrounding will be illuminated with light. All traces of history will be erased by the time.
People's faith is its only driving force ‼️
